MAYOR'S REPORT - April 2017
- As discussed in tonight's meeting we are in the process of executing a new contract with our Engineer in order that we can legitimately move forward with the Rincon Road Project by conducting the necessary individual property surveys and obtaining the utility easements for Phase I of the project.
- Art attended a workshop last Friday with the Office of the State Auditor and is now in the process of procuring an audit contract for fiscal year-ended June 30, 2017.
- Art is in the process of developing his end-of-fiscal year budget revenue and expenditure projections to use in preparing the interim and final budgets for fiscal year 2017-2018. The Interim Budget is due by June 1st and the Final Budget id due on July 31, 2017. This will be the last budget prepared and submitted by the Village of Pecos Administration.
- Mona, Art and I will be traveling to Las Cruces, NM on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 for the New Mexico Municipal League Clerks and Finance Officers Association Annual Spring Meeting. We expect to return on Friday, April 21st.
- The steering committee formed to start addressing the Village's Comprehensive Plan will meet tomorrow to begin setting up the framework to address how we intend to approach the development of the various components of the plan.
- We have been informed that the new Fire Fighting Apparatus (Fire Truck) that we purchased last year is in the final manufacturing stages. We expect delivery within the next 2 or 3 months.
